CEO and President, Blackhawk Network
Talbott Roche is CEO and president of Blackhawk Network. As Blackhawk’s co-founder, she was integral to the company’s transformation from a gift card network in one grocery chain to a global prepaid leader. Before becoming CEO, she served as Blackhawk’s president through a successful IPO (2013), and led the growth of the company’s retail and digital businesses. In recent years, she integrated multiple acquisitions in incentives, making Blackhawk a leader in commerce and incentive solutions, employing over 3,000 people in 26 countries.

Prior to Blackhawk, Roche held leadership roles with News America Marketing, a News Corp company, and The Clorox Company among others. Roche sits on the board of directors of Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), and previously served as an Executive board member of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA).

Roche holds a B.A. in economics from Stanford University.

One of the most influential and respected payments executives, Talbott Roche has contributed enormously to the growth and evolution of the prepaid and gift card industry. Throughout her career she has spearheaded a number of ground breaking products and services that have helped grow her company’s network and bring added convenience and value to both merchants and consumers. A tireless advocate for the industry, she works extensively with consumer, government and business stakeholders to propel further innovation. Forging relationships with physical and electronic retailers she has kept pace with the digital revolution and has led the expansion of gift card products via online and mobile channels.

The recipient of multiple industry awards, Talbott has been integral in transforming her company from a single grocery gift card network to a global prepaid leader. As an innovator she has been instrumental in formulating, executing and delivering a product that quite simply didn’t exist 20 years ago.
