Bio - Abeera Aguiar

Abeera Aguiar is the Head of US Payments Delivery at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank and is responsible for developing Payments innovations and product enhancements in the US market. Reporting to Abeera is a team of product owners who manage discovery efforts, roadmaps, technical development and launch readiness for Payments innovations, such as digital commerce and digital wallet capabilities, as well as enhancements for existing Payments products like Bill Pay, Zelle® and Account to Account transfers. Abeera has been leading the Payments Delivery team, respective scrum teams and key stakeholders through significant Agile transformation to bring the Payments roadmap initiatives to life. Abeera was also selected as one of American Banker's top 25 honorees for the Most Influential Women in Payments in 2022.

Prior to TD, Abeera was a Vice President of Digital Product Development in the Consumer Banking division at Goldman Sachs. In this role, she was on the founding team that built Marcus, Goldman Sachs' online lending platform. And prior to that, she spent 12 years working at American Express in a variety of roles, including New Product Development, Business Development and Product Management. In the last few years of her tenure, she led Agile transformation for both mobile and web development in the Consumer Card organization and led large scale re-designs and innovative builds for the Consumer Card shopping and early tenure customer experiences. Abeera holds both a BA and an MBA from Columbia University.
