Debopama is the Co-head of Citi’s Global Payments and Receivables Business, Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) since December 2021, responsible for driving, along with her co-lead, the business strategy, growth and transformation of Payments Solutions across Corporate, E-commerce, Public Sector, Financial Institution and Commercial Banking clients. Prior to that, she was managing the TTS business in Singapore and ASEAN, responsible for the leadership of the business in the ASEAN cluster of markets, comprising Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
She has been with Citi for over 25 years, and has worked in a number of different areas of the Institutional Clients Group. She started her career as a Management Associate and has worked across various roles in Payments, Liquidity Management, Securities Services and Trade Finance. She has also served as the India Cluster Head for TTS, with oversight of the business in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and as Business Head for the Securities and Fund Services business.
Debopama has been closely associated with market development initiatives in all her roles across Singapore, ASEAN and India, the country across payments, Trade and Securities. She has served on the Digitalization Standing Committee of ABS Singapore, Advisory Board, Women in Payments ASEAN, Board Member and Risk Committee Chair, National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that acts as a hub for all electronic payment systems in India and is currently serving on the Board of Grameen Foundation of India (GFI) as Director.
Debopama holds a Master's Degree in Management from University of Mumbai and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi.
